Crest of Imbshausen Imbshausen, Niedersachsen

Imbshausen is the ancestral home of my great grandfather, who was the teacher here and, as it turns out, a bee keeper as well. The school was located in the houses seen in the 2nd and 3rd row of the right column. After World War II the castle housed war evacuees and from 1946 to 1951 a Polish cadet school. In 1964 the Baron of Stralenheim donated the castle and its grounds to the evangelical-lutheran church and since April 1998 the castle is owned by the Campus for Christ organization.
