Erbach, Odenwald

The little town of Erbach in the Odenwald is known for its castle (16th - 18th cent.), which houses a valuable art and armament collection, a museum of ivory carvings and the Einharts Chapel with the stone coffin (13th cent.) of Einhart and his wife. Einhart was the biographer of Charlemagne. Of note are also the ceramics made in Erbach.
