Anger

Before our trip to Germany I had read a description in a tour guide of a monastary which also had a brewery and sleeping accomadations, supposedly located in Höglwörth. That sounded like a good place to visit and explore. Alas, when we drove through the area we found that there was no such place. Instead we found a monastary that had been turned into a vacation home for young people and no brewery, of course. So, where to spend the night? We returned to a small charming village, Anger, where we spotted Zimmer Frei in a window and spend a most relaxing evening and morning with a local family. Below you see the vistas from their driveway. It turned out that the host also played in the firemen's band at a local festival. Note that each musician has a rather large Bierstein to supply the needed energy and Gemütlichkeit.
