Espalion, Vallé du Lot

The Lot river meanders through orchards, vineyards and pine forrests. In Espalion the pastel stone houses and a turreted 16th century castle [1572] are reflected in the river, which also flows under a 13th century arched stone bridge. The town is reputed to have one of the best markets in the area on Friday mornings.
